Hey Reader,
Let’s talk about something that’s been on my mind (and probably yours too if you’ve ever poured your heart into a creative project)… copycats.
If you’ve been in the design, music, or art world long enough, you’ve probably had the fun experience of seeing your hard work—your ideas, your aesthetic, even your words—“borrowed” by someone else. It’s frustrating, right? You spend years honing your craft, finding your voice, creating something that feels so you, only to watch someone else slap a fresh coat of paint on it and call it their own.
✨ But here’s the thing: They can copy the look, but they can’t copy the vision. They can mimic the aesthetic, but they’ll never have the same soul. True artistry isn’t just about what’s trending—it’s about authenticity, passion, and putting your unique stamp on everything you do.
That’s exactly why I decided to shake things up.
A Remix, But Make It Me
For a while, I felt like I was fitting into a mold that didn’t quite match my everyday personality. I love my current branding, but I started feeling the itch to evolve—to blend my love of vintage theatre and Art Deco with the electric, bold, and fully me vibe of the 70s, 80s, and 90s (the decades that shaped me).
So, I started experimenting. What if my website wasn't just inspired by those eras, but actually felt like stepping into a retro record store? What if my design aesthetic brought that nostalgia to life while still keeping things fresh, modern, and tailored for artists like you?
And just like that, my creative direction clicked into place.
This isn’t just a rebrand—it’s a homecoming.
So, What’s Next?
My mission with BLC Studio is still the same: to design show-stopping brands and websites for opera singers, classical & modern musicians, voice teachers, music studios, and creative souls who are done with cookie-cutter design.
✨ For artists who want to stand out.
✨ For creatives who want their websites to feel like an experience.
✨ For musicians who are ready to own their stage—online and IRL.
I’m rolling out fresh DIY templates, mentorships, and high-impact custom design packages to help artists like you build something truly unforgettable.
So tell me—what do you think? Have you ever dealt with copycats? What’s your take on this new vibe? Hit reply and let’s chat!
Stay bold, stay original, and keep making art that only you can create.
